Welcome to Woodward Avenue Elementary home of the Superstars! Located in DeLand, Florida, Woodward was built in 1966. Our high performing, community-oriented school has a rich tradition and legacy of academic excellence. Woodward Avenue Elementary currently serves 654 "Amazing" students in Pre-K through fifth grade. With more than ninety high performing faculty and staff members, Woodward Avenue Elementary provides students the opportunity to excel in a variety of educational programs including Single Gender, Gifted, and Exceptional Student Education. If you plan to visit or volunteer on our campus, please contact the Main Office in advance to share your plan. We want to make visiting our campus a convenience for you. Call ahead! All visitors will have to complete an online application using any computer.
School hours are 7:50 AM to 2:30 PM. Breakfast is each morning from 7:20-7:50 AM.
To keep our families safe, no more than four individuals will be allowed in the Main Office at one time. We appreciate your cooperation.

Congratulations to Ms. McNew for being voted Woodward's Teacher of the Year! Ms. McNew continues to SHINE as a 5th grade teacher. Ms. McNew demonstrates a genuine care for her students while engaging students in hands-on activities designed to increase students' ability to apply their knowledge to real world experiences.
Congratulations to our "Superstar" community on receiving the Golden School Award for the number of volunteer hours performed during the 2019-2020 school year. Thanks for being committed to promoting volunteerism by dedicating your time and effort to our school.
