Without the support of our P.T.A. members, volunteers, parents, and the community, most of these programs would not be possible.  We give our heartfelt thanks to all who help to make Woodward a Five Star School in Volusia County!

At the start of every new school year, we always have a Membership Drive.  Application forms are available at Meet Your Teacher Day,  Open House Nights, and also in the front office.  Membership dues are $6.00 for one school year.

    School Advisory Council (SAC)

Are you interested in helping to make our school an even better place to learn for our students? Are you willing to commit to attending SAC meetings? Woodward's School Advisory Council Needs You!

If you answered yes to the questions above, you are just the person we are looking for to serve on Woodward's School Advisory Council.  By law, every school in Florida must have a School Advisory Council.  At least 51% of the council must be parents and/or community members not employed by the school.  The role of SAC is to assist in the development of the School Improvement Plan, which is written annually to improve student performance. The SAC also works collaboratively to prioritize budget resource allocations and to provide input for the allocation of staff resources.
    Expectations for SAC members:

    • Work with parents, staff, administrators, and other community representatives to assist in the development of a School Improvement Plan to improve the performance of ALL students.
    • Participate regularly in School Advisory Council meetings.
    • Participate in activities and training related to learning about the school improvement process. Serve as a communication link between the SAC, the community and the school.
    • Participate in efforts to encourage support for the goals of the school.
If you are interested in serving on this council, please contact Mrs. McFall-Conte at (386)740-7910 ext. 21510 or complete and return the application below:
