    Kids Zone Summer Program​

    Kid Zone will be offering a FREE summer program for selected students entering grades three through five. The program will operate Monday through Thursday, 8:00am – 4:00pm from June 5, 2017 to July 27, 2017. Breakfast and lunch are also provided at no additional cost.  Students must arrive in the cafeteria prior to 8:30am and may be picked up no earlier than 3:40pm but no later than 4:00pm.  These hours ensure that students receive the full benefits of the program. Bus transportation will be provided to eligible students. If you would like more information, please contact Mr. Wingfield, Program Director at (386) 258-4675.  

    ​Turie T. Small Elementary School   “Kid Zone” Afterschool Program 

    Kid Zone is a 21st Century Grant Funded Program that provides opportunities for academic enrichment, including providing tutorial services to help students, particularly students who are low-performing in academic subjects, such as reading, mathematics and science. 


    The Kid Zone Program offers students a broad array of additional services, programs, and activities, such as youth development activities, art, music, and recreation programs, technology education programs and character education programs that are designed to complement the regular academic program of participating students. Parent and family involvement is very important and essential to student development and academic success. To encourage parent involvement Kid Zone provides family of students learning center opportunities for literacy and related educational development.


    KidZone provides academic and enrichment services throughout the school year to targeted students, ​families and the community through:

    • Afterschool  (3:20p.m. 6:00p.m.)  - servicing on average 120 students each school day;
    • Summer Camps;
    Special Presentations, Events, Programs and Field Trips

    KidZone Provides FREE for students:

    • Academics: Reading, math, science and character education;
    • Tutoring: Reading, math and science;
    • FOSS Kit Lessons;
    • Homework Help;
    • Computer Lab;
    • Service Learning Projects and Community Service Opportunities;
    • Recreation, physical education and team sports;
    • Activities: music, art, dance, drama;
    • Special events and field trips;
    • Summer Camp
