    "Kids Zone" After School 


     

    • Program is FREE but there are mandatory meetings once a month
    • After School Program runs AUGUST 12, 2019 through May 29, 2020, Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (2:00 p.m. on Early Release Wednesdays)
    • KIDS ZONE IS OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS IN GRADES 2 THROUGH 5.
    • APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE MAIN OFFICE​
    • ATTENDANCE IS KEY! KIDS ZONE HAS A STRICT ATTENDANCE/EARLY DISMISSAL POLICY, SO PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND BEFORE SIGNING UP.  

    Kids Zone is a 21st Century Grant Funded Program that provides opportunities for academic enrichment, including providing tutorial services to help students, particularly students who are low-performing in academic subjects such as: Reading, Mathematics and Science. 

    The Kids Zone Program offers students a broad array of additional services, programs, and activities such as: youth development activities, art, music, recreational programs, technology education programs and character education programs that are designed to complement the regular academic program of participating students. Parent and family involvement is very important and essential to student development and academic success. To encourage parental involvement, Kids Zone provides families of students opportunities for literacy and related educational development.

    ​Kids Zone provides academic and enrichment services throughout the school year to targeted students, families and the community through:

    ·         Afterschool Program

    ·         Summer Camp

    ·         Special Presentations, Events, Programs and Field Trips

    Kids Zone Provides FREE for students:

    · Academics: Reading, Math, Science and Character Education; Tutoring: Reading, Math and Science; FOSS Kit Lessons;  Homework Help;  Computer Lab; Service Learning Projects and Community Service Opportunities; Recreation, physical education and team sports; Activities: music, art, dance, drama; Special events and field trips; Summer Camp, Snack or Meal daily
