    Extended Day Enrichment Program

Extended Day students are actively involved with academics. All grades have one hour of study hall. Students read Reading Counts books for fifteen minutes and write a summary of what they have read. Students then finish all other homework. Students also take Reading Counts tests to improve their reading comprehension. Each grade level competes for points and we have a monthly certificate presentation and award. Students can't get enough of Reading Counts!

    Mission Statement

    Learning is a lifelong journey:

    Dream it.

    Believe it.

    Achieve it.

Sunrise Elementary is proud to be in its 5th year on a journey toward becoming a "Leader In Me Lighthouse School".

"Leader in Me" is a whole-school improvement process based on the idea that everyone can be a leader. This evidence-based approach empowers students with the leadership and life-skills they need to thrive in the 21st century.

By developing the WHOLE-child; socially, emotionally, academically, and ethically, we will foster a school climate that promotes greatness!

Each day discuss the habits with your child and encourage them to use the habits at home.
