Welcome to Edith I. Starke Elementary, home of the Koalas! We are a quaint neighborhood school of just more than 400 students. Our motto is "Starke is on the Rise, Growing Leaders in Every Size!!"
As the principal of Edith I. Starke Elementary my promise to you is, I will work tirelessly to create a positive school culture, where students, parents, teachers and staff feel valued, respected and that their voice is heard. I will ensure strong relationships are built between the adults on our campus and you and your child(ren). I am not only responsible for academic achievement of every student but for their social emotional well-being as well. This is something I do not take lightly.
We know that it takes a village to raise a child, and at Starke we are a collaborative school meaning teachers and administrators participate in Professional Learning Communities, where there is the understanding that we are responsible of the learning of ALL students. Through this collaboration we build on the strengths of all teachers to provide rigorous grade level instruction.
