    Safety Patrol

Safety Patrol is led by Officer Tony. SDE is excited to continue the implementation of the Safety Patrol Program, which is sponsored by AAA. The primary purpose of the program is to enhance the safety of our students. In addition, the Safety Patrol Program assists in the development of leadership skills and good citizenship qualities. A safety patrol’s job is to model for students the safety rules that have been taught in the classroom and to assist students in safe transitions throughout the school campus.
Safety patrols are selected from the fifth grade with teacher input. Consideration is based on student interest, commitment, responsibility, self-discipline, and attitude toward others.
A big thank you to our current safety patrols for helping keep our SDE students safe!!!

    The meaning of W...
(The W doesn’t stand for anything. By convention, US-based transmitting stations use call signs beginning with either K or W; at one time, the initial letter specified whether the station was east or west of the Mississippi River, but that hasn’t been strictly true for some time now.)
