All students can log on to their V Portal to access web based learning sites hosted by the district. (Sorry, you can not take RC quizzes from home. This is a school based activity.)

Password: DOB in mmddyyyy form (05142014)
Destiny Library Catalog is located in the V Portal. Use the same username and password to log in to Destiny. From the catalog, go to FollettShelf on the left menu, and surf through our collection of E Books! You can read them online and even check them out! They automatically return to the library after a week.

Reading Counts
Remember, you can not take RC Quizzes from home. What you CAN do is log on to Scholastic through your V Portal, (you must drop the #1on your alpha code for this site). Then use the program to create a list of books you would enjoy reading by using the Create Reading List option. Choose a couple of interests, then Get Reading List when the Menu pops up again. Print it out and challenge yourself to read them!
The RC Quiz List includes all quizzes in the Volusia County system, but does not reflect the actual Longstreet Media Center book collection. We do have MANY of these titles, but we encourage readers to check the list and choose books from the public library as well.
The list is in ABC order. You have to scroll down a little to get past the foreign language titles and the numerical titles. Please note there are hundreds of pages in this list, so printing it out is not a good idea. Save a tree and remember to Read, Read, Read!
