I wanted to let you know how Troupe 5532 performed during District Competition this past weekend! Overall, we brought 33 individual events to competition ranging from technical and performance theatre. Of those, 6 events scored a superior rating and 20 events scored an excellent rating. The performances that received a superior rating qualify State Competition in March! I am so incredibly proud of how hard all of our students performed.

A HUGE congratulations to PRHS Junior, Austin Regovic for making All-State Band this year. This is a great accomplishment as it is only the third time a student from our school made All-State Band since 2006. Congratulations Austin!

The Pine Ridge Golf Team concluded the season on Monday at the Boys & Girls district tournament. The Panthers finished in 4th place with a score of 363. The team was just one place from making a state playoff run. Caden Laney led the team with a 80 followed by Sean Vacula & Austin Dunlap who both scored a 90. Caden Laney & Lois Stevenson will advance to the Regional State Playoff. They will play on Monday, October 23rd. Congratulations and Good luck, Lois & Caden!

Congratulations to the following bowlers for their scores yesterday. Amber Lee rolled a 154 and Skye Bellingham bowled a 160. The boys won against Atlantic 7-0. Trevor Bullis bowled a 194 and a 178, Nolan Metz a 185, and Aiden Trapani rolled a 175.
Emani was the Superintendent's Summer Academic Challenge Winner. She accepted the challenge and worked on math all summer. She was awarded with an iPod and a gift card from the “District Office Bus Brigade” on 9/22/17. Way to go!
Congratulations to Christina Vega for her win at the Cross Country Quad Meet on 9/20/17! WTG! Also congratulations to Kortnee Powers 3rd place, Rachel Matteson 7th place and Maddy O'Neal 15th place. There were 60 girls total between 3 schools. Go Panthers!
Kathan auditioned and was accepted into Macy’s Great American Marching Band. He will be performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade in NY. They only take 3-4 students per state.
Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Bowling teams for bowling over Atlantic on Thursday. This is the first time in 4 years that the Atlantic girls team has lost a match. Way to go girls. Keep bowling those strikes.

Congratulations to the Manufacturing students that participated in Seaperch on Saturday, May 6th at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona. Seaperch is an underwater robotic competition. PRHS teams placed first in the Open division and second in the Stock division. Drivers Edwin Rosado and Steven Ortiz led the Panthers.
Mrs. Goode was recognized at the School Board Meeting for being one of only 3 recipients of the Governor's Award.

Congratulations to our Dancing with the Teachers champion, Mrs. Tina McGarvey and students Kyle Colon and Jordan Ortiz! Runner up was Ms. Michelle King who performed with Christina Vega, Tiyah Finley and Cheyanne Patterson. All 8 eight performances were fantastic! The special performances during intermission were great as well! Thank you to the great emcee’s and judges. Great job to all of the participants and all of the hard work put in by many people to make this event a success. All proceeds will go to relay for Life. If you missed the performances last night, you will have the opportunity to purchase a DVD at a later date.
