    Principal's Message

    Dear Osteen Elementary Families:

Happy New Year!  I hope this year, 2017, brings you and your family much joy and happiness.  We have started the third quarter and there is still much to be done academically.  I usually warn students of the mid-year doldrums during this quarter.  It is sometimes difficult for some students to maintain their enthusiasm resulting in grades that fall slightly or dramatically.  I recommend to students to stay focused on the academics by continuing to have great attendance, follow through on their out of school projects, and essentially be disciplined to address all academic concerns in a timely manner.  Parents, I encourage you to stay focused and make sure your child continues to do things I mentioned previously.  You are the CRO of your family – the Chief Reminding Officer!
Parents, did you make a New Year’s resolution recently?  I know that making the resolution is the easy part; following through on a regular, continuous basis is the difficult part.  Of course, one resolution I always suggest is that you stay involved in your child’s education.  One way to accomplish this goal is to speak daily to your child about their day at school.  These conversations can last a few minutes to hours depending upon the answers you receive from them.  As I’ve said before, these conversations can be some of the best moments you spend with your child.  I encourage you to take time to make these moments happen.
Here are a couple of items related to scheduling:
**All Wednesdays during January, February, & March are early release – 1:05 dismissal
**Spring Break – Friday, March 10—Friday, March 17 (classes resume Monday, March 20)
My best to you and your family during 2017!

    Mr. Bambrick
