    Principal's Message

    Dear Osteen Elementary Families:

The end of this school year is upon us and summer is approaching.  Learning through this pandemic has been quite a challenge for all of us.  Whether your child has learned remotely or in our brick and mortar setting this has been a very different year.  I realize that each of you has had to adapt to what I consider a surreal environment and I’m thankful for the efforts of our teachers and staff as they deal with all the CDC guidelines (masks, social distancing, quarantines, hand washing).
This summer will bring more learning opportunities for our students.  In the month of June, there will be virtual learning available to identified students so some of you may hear from our teachers.  There will also be a traditional summer school setting (brick and mortar) in the month of July.  You will hear more about these programs.
As I close out this chapter of my life at Osteen Elementary, I want to wish you the very best going forward.  To our students, I encourage you to continue to work diligently in school, especially the fifth graders as you move to middle school.  To our parents, I hope that you and your family will have wonderful experiences in Volusia County Schools.  And to our faculty and staff, I thank you for your years of dedicated service.  You are truly the best!

Have a safe and relaxing summer.
    Mr. Bambrick
