Parent Portal
Volusia County Schools is committed to delivering high-quality instruction to all of its students. The Parent Portal is a great way for parents/guardians to stay connected to their student's grades, attendance, assessments, and important announcements. Parent Portal accounts are available for all students enrolled with Volusia County Schools and are easy to set up. We are committed to holding student information secure — so all accounts must be verified with a PIN. This PIN is provided by the student's enrolled school and is required to establish a
Parent Portal account.
School Advisory Council
We would like to invite our Bronco families to join our School Advisory Council. This is a committee that meets monthly with teachers and administrators to discuss our school goals and finances. Please stop by the Front Office to give input on our School Improvement Plan and our Parent Involvement Plan for the 2020-2021 school year.
I also wanted to share that we have our Parent Liaison, Mrs. Therese Butial, in our Parent Center which is available to all families. Please reach out to her for any help your family may need.
Thank you,
Mrs. Figueroa
Principal Intern
Parent Center
Hello Broncos! My name is Therese Butial and I’m the Parent Liaison at Osteen Elementary, and my primary role is to bridge the gap between home and school.
Osteen Elementary has a Parent Center that is located in Building 3, Room 304 that offers a variety of games you can check out to take home to enjoy with your family, websites, and a food bank for anyone in need of some assistance. We also can provide school uniforms. The hours in the Parent Center vary so please call and set up a time with me to visit the Parent Center. I look forward to meeting and working with you this year!
Box Tops Reminder: Download the Box Top app, shop as you normally would, then simply scan your receipt. The app will automatically credit our school.

Volunteers
Our Volunteer Program (VIPS) has many volunteers, averaging more than 5,000 hours per year. Volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application. Approved applications are required in order to attend a field study. The district will screen all applications. We encourage all parents to complete an application at the beginning of the year so an approved application will be on file at the time of a field study.
Volunteers must sign in and out at the front office. Name badges must be worn at all times. We value our volunteers for their help and support at Osteen Elementary.
Online Application Instructions
Fill out the online application form on any computer or the Raptor Kiosk located in the main office. Be sure to use your full legal name and birthdate.
Have your government-issued ID scanned at a school or district website. Your ID must match the name and birthdate you provided on your volunteer application.
Once approved, you will receive an e-mail to the address you provided in your application. Approvals are immediate if there are no alerts from the background check. All volunteer approvals will expire on June 30, 2020, requiring volunteers to renew. Your ID will not need to be scanned again unless your name has legally changed.
