The Media Center is the resource center of the school for students, teachers, and the parent community. In the Osceola Media Center you'll find a wide variety of activities all designed to inspire and motivate the young mind.
VPortal Resources
VPortal, available directly from the school website (https://www.vcsedu.org/), is full of wonderful free resources. Students will navigate VPortal for online learning and can find additional resources when work is complete. Sign in with the student’s email address – alphacode@vcs2go.net. For example, 1abcd@vcs2go.net. Password is the student’s 8-digit birthdate, i.e., 01052010. - BrainPop: A trusted learning resource supporting core and supplemental subjects, reaching millions of learners worldwide.
- Code Studio: A nonprofit organization dedicated to introducing computer science to students. The Code Studio has step-by-step lessons that help students learn coding in an exciting way.
- Reading Counts: A computer-based reading program that uses basic comprehension questions to encourage reading. It can be found in VPortal in the Digital Resources folder.
- Britannica School: A safe, up-to-date, and age-appropriate information resource for Elementary, Middle, and High School.
- TumbleBooks and TumbleMath: from home, TumbleBooks and TumbleMath provide your students with a huge library of books at their fingertips, anytime they want.
Online Reading Resources
- Epic: Epic! is an American kids subscription-based reading and learning platform. It offers access to books and videos for children ages 12 and under. The service can be used on desktop and mobile devices.

- iPad- Download iOS app from "Self Service Kiosk" (VCS Device) or iOS app store (personal device) choose student and use code: mnc9878
- Media Class Code: mnc9878 (If your teacher uses Epic please use their class code). Choose your grade level (does not matter which one you choose) I created several of each grade level.
- TIME for Kids Free Digital Library: TIME for Kids is offering free subscriptions for the remainder of the school year TIME for kids
- Scholastic Learning at Home: Day-by-Day projects to keep students reading, thinking, and growing Scholastic Learn at Home
