Dear Ortona Family,
In working towards creating a safe campus, staff and students participate in a number of safety drills over the course of the school year. Each month we will complete a fire drill and “active shooter” drill, as mandated by the state of Florida. Beginning in October we will conduct other drills for other emergency situations, including severe weather and hazardous materials. Safety is a priority on our campus. In the unlikely event that our campus must be evacuated in the interest of safety, parents and guardians will be notified immediately. Our primary evacuation site is Seabreeze High School. I am very proud of our students for remaining calm and following directions as we practice what to do in different situations.
Warm Regards, Ms. Campanella
