The elementary years are a time when students begin to develop their academic self-concept as well as their feelings of confidence and competence as learners. They are beginning to develop decision-making, communication and life skills, as well as character values. It is also a time when students develop and acquire attitudes toward school, self, peers, social groups and families.
Classroom, group and individual guidance lessons will include; character education, trust, responsibility, respect, fairness, caring and citizenship. Any student can request to meet with the school counselor or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, or parent. I encourage you to reach out if you have concerns regarding your child.
We are here to help students achieve their personal/social and academic goals, as well as provide support for the parents and the community.
