Elementary Curriculum
School Counselor
School Counselor: Sara Montalvo
School Counseling Services are available to all McInnis Elementary students. We are not only concerned for the educational development but also the emotional and social development of our students.
Our guidance counselor serves as a resource for parents, teachers, and administrators in helping students meet their needs.
Media
Media Specialist: Lisa Bertolami
The Louise S. McInnis Media Staff seeks to make the media center an integral part of the school program. The underlying goal of the entire open media center concept is to correlate media literacy skills instruction with the district and state curriculum and to establish a lifelong love of reading and learning.
The Media Center will be open to students to students from 8:00 a.m. until 2:05 p.m. during regular school days.
Individual students or small groups may come to the media center anytime during the regular school day with a pass from their classroom teacher. Books may be checked out for a two week period. Students who finish reading their books early may return them and borrow new ones. There are no fines for overdue books, however, students must pay replacement costs for lost or damaged books.
