    Story Telling Club

The Horizon Storytelling Club hosted its fifth Veterans Celebration in the media center on November 19, 2014. The students wore red white and blue bandanas and presented a poem titled “Thank a Veteran” as well as gave the veterans handmade patriotic cards. The Horizon Stars sang beloved songs and the veterans played trivia “Are You Smarter Than a Veteran?” Those attending won prizes donated by Wal-Mart, BJ’s, Bob Evans, and Tropical Smoothie Café on Beville Road. We would like to thank these businesses immensely for donating to our beloved veterans! Their contributions were a success!

Our veterans were very thankful and remarked about the program especially for them.

We are looking forward to our Leadership/Kindness Campaign as well as “Read Across Horizon” coming in the future. The storytellers will also buddy with Mrs. Wilkerson’s class to create stories and puppets for the younger children.
