We love our 3rd graders and are so happy to be back at school, learning and growing together!
In Third grade, we are working on not just learning to read but reading to learn and understand more about the author's purpose for writing each text and story.
In math we are identifying the relationship between repeated addition and multiplication: 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 3 x 4
We are also working on how to partition objects into equal shares 56 ÷ 8 = 7
In writing we are working on how to write opinion pieces and share our thinking.
For Social Studies we are learning about community helpers and how to identify primary (first hand experiences/resources) and secondary (second hand stories and resources).
Our amazing scientists are working in groups and learning how to use their science journals to record new learning and observations they make during experiments.
Social Emotional Learning is spread throughout our day and we love being "bucket fillers" to brighten up a person's day!
