    We try to encourage our students to participate in an outside extra curriculum and to get involved with our school community.  Please consider all we have to offer.

    Boys Open Gym

    Boys that are interested in playing Basketball are encouraged to join Open Gym.  Coach Wynn will be coaching and teaching students on the basics of basketball and getting ready for our Basketball Season which begins in March.  A current physical and parent signature must be obtained before beginning Open Gym. Please see Coach Wynn to get the required paperwork needed.  Open Gym is every Monday and Thursday from 4:30pm - 6:30pm.

    Cross Country

    The 2021 season is postponed. Cross Country will resume in August 2022

    Students will train afterschool for a 2-mile distance course. Students have the opportunity to compete with other local Middle Schools. Practices are 3-4 days a week till 5:30.  In order to participate students need to complete enrollment packet and submit with current physical.

    Culinary Club

    Do you love to cook?  Want to learn more about different techniques and receipes to try at home?  Join the Culinary Club and have fun cooking and baking.  Meetings are before school from 8:50 - 9:20am and briefly after school from 4:15 - 4:30pm in room 214.  For more information, please contact Ms. Gawel .

    Cyber Patriot

    CyberPatriot is a National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air Force Association. Through a series of online competition rounds, teams are given a set of virtual operating systems and are tasked with finding and fixing cybersecurity vulnerabilities while maintaining critical services.  The top teams in the nation earn all-expenses-paid trips to Maryland for the National Finals Competition where they can earn national recognition and scholarship money.  Meet every Tuesday until 5:00pm in room 302.  See Mrs. Naylon ( for addtional information.

    Debate Team

    In January 2020, Govenor DeSantis announced the Florida Civics and Debate Initiative (FCDI) with The Marcus Foundation to elevate civic knowledge, civic skills, and civic disposition fo rmiddle and high school students. The mission of the Florida Civics and Debate Initiative is to create access and opportunities for all students to have the best civics education including curriculum and debate programs. The debate club will meet weekly and participate in three debate tournaments per academic year. For more information, please see Ms. Trinkle in room 421 ( )

    Deltona Charger Pep Squad

    Charger Pep Squad is our "spirit" group that encourages and promotes positive attitude during our school Basketball and Cross Country games as well as around school and school events. Feeling "spirited", join us every Monday and Wednesday after school until 5pm. There is a $25 fee. See Ms. Perez (email: for additional information.

    Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

    FCA is an opportunity for students to meet and celebrate Christian beliefs. If you would like to learn more about Christian beliefs and hearing about the Word of God, then this is a safe space to express yourself and your Christian faith.  FCA meets once a month in room 113.  For more information, please contact Mr. McCormick .


    FFA provides premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education.  Students wil have the ability to compete in contest, adn attend leadership events on the local, state and national level.  Contact Ms. Shotton, Agricututre teacher. There is a $25.00 fee which pays for their FFA state membership dues and a t-shirt.  (email:

    Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA)

    FFEA is a service club for students interested in the educational field.  The Club meets on Tuesday in the Media Center until 4:45pm. Must fill out an application, submit Fee-$5.00, have parent permission & two teacher recommendations to participate. Contact Ms. Sutton Cressor  

    Girls Open Gym

    Girls that are interested in playing for our Girls Basketball Team beginning in March are encouraged to join Open Gym.  Coach Sutton will be coaching and training with the girls on the basics of basketball.  A current physical and parent signature is required to attend, please see Coach Sutton or the Orange House for the paperwork needed.  Girls Open Gym is on Tuesday from 4:30 - 5:45pm.

    Girl Empowerment

    Do you need some encouragement?  Do you feel you have low self-esteem? This is the club for you. Speak with a School Counselor in a casual setting with other girls that feel the same way.  Meets on Tuesdays beginning in October.  Contact Ms. Soli for more information.

    Lego Robotics

    Like to build huge cities with legos?  Want to learn more about the science behind building robotics?  This is the place to be.  The club meets every Wednesday until 5pm in the STEM lab, room 304.  For more information, please contact Mrs. Naylon (email: ) or Mrs. Hulette (email: )  There is a $25 club fee.

    Science Olympiad

    This is a competitive club that will compete against other local middle schools in several science subjects including robotics. Meets on Tuesdays until 5:15pm in room 302. For more information see Ms. Naylon.(email: )
