    Home of the Eagles!

We are excited about learning and take pride in meeting the educational needs of our students.  We have a highly dedicated staff and faculty here to ensure the success and safety of each and every child.  As a member of our DLE family, we encourage you to join us as we soar to success.  You can make a difference by volunteering in your child’s class, becoming a business partner or just by being there for your child.  Together we can make a difference.

    Bell Times

The morning warning bell rings at 7:50 AM signaling that students have 5 minutes to arrive in class. There are two bells in the afternoon. The first afternoon bell at 2:00 PM is the bus bell. All bus students will be dismissed at this time. The second afternoon bell at 2:30 PM will dismiss all parent pick-up students.

    Office hours are 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Absences

If your student is absent from school we ask that you notify the front office or send a note to your child's teacher. Please tell us your child's full name, teacher and grade.  If there is no documentation telling why your child was out from school there will be an unexcused absence on your child's next report card.

    Campus Safety

    Using Crosswalks

Please only use the marked cross walks when walking from the parking lots to the school sidewalks. Crossing between the buses is not safe.

    Morning Supervision

Teachers share supervision responsibilities beginning at 7:30 am. Please refrain from dropping off your child to school prior to 7:30 am. for the safety of your child.

    Dismissal

Parents waiting by the Music Room are asked to stay on the grassy area.  This will clear the walkway and allow students going to parent pick-up to arrive safely.  Parents waiting to pick up students at the Bridge are asked to remain at the Bridge waiting area where tables were placed for parents' use.

    Visitors on Campus

Any adult who comes on campus after 8:10am MUST go to the office first to sign in as a visitor or volunteer.  All visitors and volunteers must wear their yellow name tags for the safety and security of all students.  This will allow the teachers and students to know your purpose for being on campus.  Please park in designated parking areas and lock your vehicle at all times when on campus.

    Classroom Volunteers

We love our volunteers.  If you would like to volunteer in your child's class, you must have a Volunteer Application on file or complete a new one. Volunteer applications can take 3 weeks or more to be processed with the district. The good news is a volunteer application is good for 5 years!  While you are waiting for your application to be processed, you can always offer to do some work at home for your child's teacher. If you have any other questions about volunteering please contact the front office at (386) 575-4115.

**In case of an emergency during a special event on campus, everyone will meet at the South parking lot by the Bridge.**

Be aware of your surroundings.  If you notice any suspicious individuals around bus stops or school property, please notify administration or law enforcement.
    No Smoking

There is no smoking on school property.  Any smoking should take place outside of the school gates.
