Media Policies
First through fifth grade students may check out two books. Books are due ten school days after they are checked out. Kindergarten students are allowed to check out one book at a time. Their books are kept in the classroom until the end of the first semester, then the teacher determines whether or not a student is ready to bring books home.
Students losing or damaging books must pay for them and their check out privilege is denied until the obligation is fulfilled. Students with overdue books may not check out books. Students may renew books that are not on hold for other students. Sunshine Reader books may not be renewed.
Students may check books out in the media center at 7:45, but they must not be late to class. The media center is open until 2:30 each school day except for early release days when it closes at 1:30 pm, unless circumstances prevent this.
