    Reading Counts

    Reading Counts is a reading fluency program in which students read a book, take a short quiz to earn points and prizes.  Throughout the school day students may take quizzes in their classroom and media center.  

    Florida Reading Association's Children's Book Award

    Kindergarten through 2nd grade students are encouraged to read the 8 picture books selected for the year.  In April students vote for their favorite book.  Results are collected from all the elementary schools in the state of Florida and the book with the most votes win the Florida Reading Association's Children's Book Award for that year.


     

     
     
     
     
     

    Sunshine State Young Readers Award Book List

    The Sunshine State Young Reader's Award Program is a statewide reading motivation program for students in grades 3-8.  Students are encouraged to read for pleasure the 15 books from the book list and must read a minimum of 3 books to vote for their favorite in March.  The results are collected from all the elementary schools in the state of Florida and the book with the most votes win The Sunshine State Young Reader's Award for that year.
