Greetings Champion Black Bears,
I would like to express how honored I am having been asked
by the Superintendent to lead Champion Elementary to success during the 2019-20
school year. I have been an educator in
Volusia County for twenty-six years, twenty-one as a school-based
administrator. During my time I have
lead schools at all levels: elementary, middle and high. At each school, I worked with students,
parents/guardians, teachers and support staff to develop and implement a plan
for success. We will do that this year
at Champion Elementary.
I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank all of you for the
academic growth students did attain last year.
We saw growth in all areas including Language Arts, math and science. That success does not just happen in the
classroom. It is also the result of
support from after-school personnel, mentors, and especially parents and
guardians. The school also received the
prestigious Golden School Award. It was
the thirty-fifth year in a row that our school has received this recognition. This award is given to schools that have an
extensive and successful volunteer program.
No school can be successful with out caring volunteers, so Thank You! to
all who did so last year.
We will send out additional information regarding happenings
at our school through either our school newsletter or updates to our school
website. This will include information
regarding upcoming events that you will be invited to attend and participate
in. You can also receive text message
updates by sending @9ec4ga6 to the number 81010. Depending on what phone you use, you may have
to download the Remind app. For most,
though, it is as simple as sending the message to the number I offered.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do
not hesitate to contact us at 258-4664.
Kind regards,
Dr. Inge
Principal
