    Communication:

We believe that communication between home and school is vital to your child’s success.  We will work to schedule a conference with each family during the first nine weeks.  Please inform us of any concern you may have or to request a conference to review your child’s progress.  If you are unable to come to the school for a conference we will be happy to schedule a phone conference with you.

Please check your child’s homework folder daily for information regarding class work, behavior, meetings, school events, and field trips.

    Homework:

Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday.  Please review your child’s homework daily.  It is beneficial to have a set time and place for your child to complete their homework.  Homework is practice for lessons that have been taught during the school day.  Your child should be able to complete it with little assistance from an adult.  Returning completed homework in the Homework Folder helps teach your child responsibility.

    Assessments:

Spelling and reading tests are given each Friday.  Other subject tests and performance assessments will be given throughout the school year.

    Birthdays

On the last Friday of each month, we will recognize the children’s birthdays for the month.  Please contact your child’s teacher if you would like to send in a treat for the class to share.

    Snacks

Your child will need to bring his/her own healthy snack each day.
