Amazon Business Account

​​​​​​​The District is utilizing Amazon Business as a supplier for unplanned business purchases. Amazon Business for Education is a new marketplace on that offers access to hundreds of millions of products in a shopping experience tailored for business shoppers. Amazon Business's functionality increases purchasing visibility, enabling better use of budget currently allocated for items purchased on today. In addition, account configuration options and purchase controls help reduce risk, ensuring spend on Amazon Business aligns with existing purchasing processes & policies.

New additional features designed to streamline our purchasing process:

  • Free Prime Shipping (1-2 business days) on qualifying orders consisting of Amazon Fulfilled Items 
  • Business Pricing and quantity discounts on select items
  • Tax Exempt Purchasing for qualified items
  • Business-optimized search and browse functionality
  • Enhanced reporting & reconciliation
  • Structured Approval process flows
  • Dedicated Business Customer Service

Guidelines / Fun Facts

  • Schools & Departments should NOT be subscribing to the following Amazon features: Amazon Fresh, Prime Video, Prime Music, Amazon Echo, Amazon Alexa, or other subscription services. These features are not included as part of the Amazon Business account.
  • Select "FREE Prime Shipping" as your shipping speed on the shipping options page. If the option doesn't appear on your order form, the order may not contain eligible items. More details about this shipping offer are available on Amazon's Help pages.
  • Please note that shipping rates, restrictions and methods vary from seller to seller and aren't generally set by Amazon. For instance, while some sellers will ship to international destinations, others don't. To see a seller's shipping rates and details, click "View shipping rates and policies" from the product listing.
  • If you can't find the information you're looking for on the Amazon Seller's storefront, you may contact the seller or Amazon directly to ask questions. You'll find customer service contact information on each Seller's storefront. Just click "Ask a question" on the top right-hand side of your screen.
    • Amazon can support large volume (bulk) orders, and may even offer an additional volume discount. Please contact Purchasing who will provide you with an Amazon sales rep's contact information.
  • ​Orders over a certain dollar spending threshold will automatically be routed to the necessary approving parties.​

All school bookkeepers/department staff must complete a mandatory webinar training, hosted by Amazon before they will be invited to join the Business Account.

If you want to be a part of the next training, please contact the Purchasing Department. ​

  1. Once you complete the webinar training from Amazon. You will be sent an email invitation and aligned to the new Business Account.
    • Please note: The Business Account will not interfere with your personal account(s).
    • Once the system recognizes your district email account, it will merge the two accounts into the Business Account.​
​​​​​        2. Once set up, you will be ready to use your new Business Account !
