Saralee L. Morrissey, FAICPDirector Planning and Business Services provides the necessary business support to Facilities Services that enables contracts to be awarded and consultants to be hired. The Planning and Business Services division initiates all new school construction and additions. It also provides planning services to the district that involves collecting and analyzing student enrollment and economic data. The Planning division provides recommendations relative to student enrollments and projections, the capital budget, program relocation and/or expansion, student assignment and redistricting. The Planning division is also responsible for all real estate transactions, growth management functions, including implementing Section 206 of the Volusia County Charter, and intergovernmental coordination. The Planning division represents the school district at the Volusia County Transportation Planning Organization's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and Technical Coordinating Committee. It also has a representative at the School Crossing Guard Evaluation Committee, the International Speedway Boulevard (ISB) Coalition and the Volusia Growth Management Commission.
