Volusia County School Board Wellness Program

A strong organization cannot exist without healthy employees. The everyday choices we make can help us live healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives- both at work and at home. And that's why Volusia County School Board has partnered with Florida Blue and Florida Health Care Plans to establish a comprehensive Wellness Program designed to improve your health, well-being, and productivity. Components of the program consist of free gym access to 70+ facilities throughout Volusia, Flagler, Seminole and Brevard Counties, greatly reduced Weight Watchers fees, and important, an optional annual Personal Health Assessment (PHA),  and helpful health related postings.

The goals of the Wellness Program are to:

    • Provide information about your current health status,

    • Help employees set realistic wellness goals,

    • Supply employees with the tools and resources to reach your goals, and

    • Manage health care costs - An effective wellness program makes a difference in health costs over time.  Active participation will benefit your lifestyle and may help you save money on health care costs in the future.

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2017:  All benefit eligible employees may begin using the free gym access  and reduced Weight Watcher fees regardless of participation in the Personal Health Assessment (PHA).
