The Volusia County School District received the results of the 3rd Grade Florida Standards Assessments on Friday, May 24. We increased the percentage of students scoring an achievement level 3 or higher by 2% from 56% to 58%. The state increased 1% from 57% to 58%. We saw 7 schools show double digit increases in the percent of students scoring an achievement level 3 or higher. Below is a list of our top performers: Port Orange Elementary increased 22% Ormond Beach Elementary increased 12% Indian River Elementary increased 11% Osteen Elementary increased 11% Sunrise Elementary increased 11% Coronado Beach Elementary increased 10% South Daytona Elementary increased 10% "We are pleased with the progress that our students have made," said Superintendent Tom Russell.
